to Better Oracle functions support
would a savepoint be defined before each statement execution
to be more oracle friendly
and to behave like edb_stmt_level_tx=true in EDM oracle mode ?

Note:
ON_ERROR_ROLLBACK = 'on'
apply in psql client only

when
SET edb_stmt_level_tx TO on;
seems to work at db level (it works for me with a standard jdbc client tool SQLeo and the pg jdbc standard jar)

I don't know - edb is Postgres fork with lot of differences
