· Monsanto is currently seeking a Java developer to join their US Seed & Traits IT team for an upcoming project. · Successful candidate will work with the IT team to develop and maintain customer facing web applications for US Seed & Traits business on the enterprise Java platform. · The individual will work as part of an agile team involving but not limited to a Project Manager, Developers, Technical Leads and Business Analysts to ensure the timely delivery of applications. · Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): GUI design, application code development, XML schema development, generate/parse XML, execution of unit and acceptance testing, utilization of the automated test infrastructure for the project and identification of application code and services for reuse. · Qualifications o Minimum 6 years of experience in software development utilizing Enterprise Java technologies. o Experience with Web Services & demonstrated experience in specific technologies including EJB, JMS, Spring, Hibernate, JUnit, SOAP, XML-RPC and XML. o Experience working with Weblogic Application Server. o In-depth knowledge of the Application Development Lifecycle. o Solid knowledge of design patterns. o At least four years of experience utilizing Oracle/SQL. • o Sound knowledge of Object Oriented Analysis and Design techniques. · Desired skills: o Experience with Test First Development Methodology. o Experience with Agile development methodologies. o Experience with Maven. o Strong interpersonal and communication skills. |
