Position: Java Developer
Location: Nashville, TN
Rate: $52-55 max
Duration: 12 month contract

Looking for:
• In-depth knowledge of Java/JavaEE, shell scripting, JavaScript, databases, SQL (language).
• Experience in frameworks such as Hibernate/N-Hibernate, Spring, Struts, etc
• Experience in Web Service Development Technologies (SOAP/REST)
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux/AIX operating system.
• We standardize on Groovy and Grails frameworks, so candidates with experience with these will be given preference.
• Interpersonal skills required to work with end users on the development of new business rules and problem resolution.
• Someone that can be given general requirements and run with it and figure things out, without always needing super detailed requirements
• Have an opinion about what development tools you're using and why you're using them.
o They want to know that you have a depth of understanding beyond just "well we use these tools because that's just what we've always done"
o As long as the candidate is able to answer why they’re using the tools that they’re using, that is the level of candidate he wants.
o He often finds that it’s typically the senior level candidates that can articulate this level of opinion that they have between the different technologies, because they’ve usually been around enough years to experience different things.
Nice to have:
• Someone with an API mindset. Either developing API’s or consuming them.
• To a lesser extent, knowledge of IT Security, such as LDAP, Active Directory, Single-sign-on technologies, as well as IBM WebSphere.
Project details:
• This position will develop interfaces between systems, automate functions within ERP systems, and create tools for reducing manual efforts in the support and maintenance of ERP Systems.
• The position will also translate the business roles functional requirements into the software design/architecture and consequently the programming rules required to support the business needs.
