- Oracle Active dataguard setup and management
- Oracle performance tuning knowledge
- Ability to interpret Oracle trace and log
- Understand ora.ini configuration parameters
- Lock contention
- Ability to read and act on AWR report
- Configuring and managing Oracle listener
- Understand JDBC connection and Connection managers used by Java apps
- Proficiency in Git for source repository
- Data modelling
- Oracle Partition best practices
- Deep understanding of Oracle indexing, constraints, functions, procedures, sequences, PL/SQL
- Proficiency in Oracle DML
- Unix shell programming
Good to have:
- Understanding of Java JDBC/Hibernate ( Plus – not necessary)\
- Jasper reporting
