Description
Conducts analysis, designs products, and programs computer software that requires extensive research. Typical background for this position is advance study/knowledge in the field of computer science or software engineering along with advanced knowledge of software development and methodologies. | 

The following are the technical requirements: 
- Java Server Development 
- JavaScript Development 
- Perl/Python Development 
- Relation Database Schema Design and Development (MySQL preferred) 

The following are also the optional experience that this position will be helpful 
- Machine learning with approaches like Decision Trees and Representation Learning, etc.... 
- Data Mining. (i.e. Classification, Decision Trees, Linear Regression with Multiple Variables) 
- Knowledge/Experience with Big Data (Hadoop/HDFS/Storm/HBase) and Cloud system will be beneficial 

Questions/Answers: 
Q. Describe the project they will be working on? 
A. Our project is to build a holistic merchant monitoring solution to provide Real-Time Monitoring Service for Merchants and Partners that leverage PayPal for Payment Processing. 

Q. What are the Top Three Skills needed to perform this role/job? 
A. 
1. Strong backend Java Development. 
2. MySQL 
3. Perl scripting/ Linux 
4. OO design and programming. 

Q. What would the typical work day look like for this contractor (what are they responsible for)? 
A. This person will be worker in build the next version of Merchant Monitor product written in Java. Currently, we have a roadmap, mock ups and wire frames build and need enhancement and development. Person should be articulate to solve issues, work with cross functional team and be able to focus on issues at hand in a stressful environment. 

Q. Any technology companies or a particular industry background that you would like them to come from? 
A. Worked payment or ecommerce background. 

Q. What is the Duration of assignment - possible extensions? 
A. For this assignment, we are looking at 6-9 months at the minimum. But, extension is very likely depending on the fit and how much this contractor can get done at a given amount of time. 

Q. Are you available over the next 2-3 weeks to complete the process (vacation, business travel, etc. ensure candidate remains available) 
A. Yes. 

Q. What is your interview process? (phone, interview panel, loop) Who will be reviewing resumes, do you need help setting up a delegate? 
A. We usually do an 30 minute initial phone screen. Then, we would bring the individual in for On-Site to do a deep dive into his/her experience. Expect at least 4 hours of on-sit interviews. 

Q. Do you have a list of screening questions to share with the suppliers that would aide in further screening candidates? 
A. Not at this time.
