Responsibilities:
• Work within a team of software and data engineers who are responsible for designing and maintaining database structures for analytic healthcare data reporting within 3M HIS.
• Focus 1 will be on loading, processing, and converting very large datasets into statistical data with accuracy, repeatability, and speed.
• Focus 2 will be on making data ready to use in Business Intelligence (BI) tools to support advanced analytic products and services • Work under the direction of senior database engineers to deliver against aggressive development timelines.
Basic Qualifications:
• Accredited baccalaureate degree in computer science or information systems management degree • 3 years experience, associated degree, or Microsoft certification in MS SQL Server, with knowledge in SSIS, SSRS, SSAS.
• 1 year experience, associated degree, or Microsoft certification in .NET 2.5, C# in both Windows forms and web-based applications • 1 year experience, associated degree, or third-party certification in Agile and TFS methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of ETL’s, batch data processing, and data traceability • Ability to optimize tables, indexes, and stored procedures for performance improvements.
• Able to demonstrate their ability to write formulas and create pivot tables in Microsoft Excel.
• Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office products.
• Knowledge of healthcare billing and/or coding data.
• Knowledge of Office Automation with C# and MS
