Hi, everybody.

I have problem with my form wich worked ok in 6i.
Now, my aplication is migrated on 10g and when I try to insert or
update database via form,
I get an error: ORA-01483: invalid length for DATE or NUMBER bind
variable.
I figure out that problem is in item on my form wich is BLOB type, but
I don't know how to solve it.
When I remove that field from form, update and insert are possible, so
I assumed that problem is located there.

I try to find aswer on all kind of formus, but I failed.

Any ideas?

Help in this is appreciated

Thanx,

Annie

What is the version of your Oracle database? We need that nformation
before a usable response can be provided.

Thank you,
A.

I'm wondering why you're running an unpatched 10.2.0 release of
Oracle, since many problems in that release have been fixed in later
patchsets. Is there a reason why you're not at version 10.2.0.3.0 or
later?

Well, I don't know to answer you on that question, simply, I got that
database to work with.

I just chacked on the other aplication, one that have no problem with
this blob I describe,
and version of that database is the same as mine. Maby that
information is important.
But, this other aplication is developed in 10g, my aplication is
developed in 6i, then migrated.

Thank you,
A.

You should check the code in both forms for differences. I'm
surprised you haven't yet done so.
