Hi guys,

while installing oracle 9.2.0.4 on linux RHEL 5.3 i got this error...

it just got stuck here (while running ./runInstaller)

Initializing Java Virtual Machine from /tmp/OraInstall2009-02-18_01-18-09PM/jre/bin/java. Please wait...
/tmp/OraInstall2009-02-18_01-18-09PM/jre/bin/i386/native_threads/java: error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory.

9.2.0.4 is not certified on any release of Linux by any vendor.
You're on your own here.

Hi,

If you are in the local machine ....then follow like as below.....

1 ) As root user issue xhost +

2) Then as oracle user set DISPLAY like below ...

$ export DISPLAY=:0

then start ./runinstaller
