JOB DESCRIPTION-
About the Role:
The client is live on Oracle Cloud and is seeking a VBCS Developer to support, maintain, enhance, and secure existing custom extensions built across the Quality, Purchasing (PO), Receiving, Inventory, and Order Management (OM) modules.
This role requires strong hands-on experience in Oracle VBCS, Oracle JET components, JavaScript, and SQL/ORDS, along with a working knowledge of Oracle Fusion SCM modules.
Key Responsibilities:
· Review and understand the logic of existing VBCS extensions developed for SCM Oracle Fusion Cloud.
· Implement business-requested changes and new functionality using VBCS, Oracle JET, and JavaScript.
· Integrate with SQL/ORDS services and SCM Cloud REST APIs to ensure seamless connectivity.
· Apply knowledge of Inspection Characteristics, Inspection Plans, and Inspections for accurate, compliant solutions.
· Configure role-based security for custom extensions in alignment with organizational access policies.
· Collaborate with functional and technical teams to gather requirements, propose solutions, and deliver enhancements.
· Conduct unit and integration testing, troubleshoot issues, and maintain technical documentation for all developed extensions.
Must-Have Skills:
· Strong experience with Oracle Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS)
· Proficiency in Oracle JET components, JavaScript, and SQL/ORDS
· Experience working with SCM Oracle Fusion Cloud modules — especially Quality (most important), Purchasing, Receiving, Inventory, and Order Management
· Knowledge of REST APIs, role-based security, and custom extensions
· Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills
