Job Title: OBIEE Administrator

Location: Marlborough, MA

Duration: 6+ Months Contract

 

Responsibilities
Manage and administer OBIEE environments hosted on Linux VM architecture. Currently OBIEE version is 11.1.1.6.2 BP1.
Merge and split subjects areas to and from the unified RPD files in each environment.
A common enterprise wise instance is used that supports multiple business teams, each with their own subject-area in a common rpd.
Provide expertise in the implementation of OBIEE 11g MUDE (Multi User Dev Env) which we currently don't use but are interested in.
Make changes as requested in OBIEE to enable privileges on the catalogs based on Active-Directory based groups.
Implement and document steps to apply patches, fixes, upgrades and rollbacks of OBIEE releases from Oracle.
Work with our Middleware team to design and implement various monitoring alerts.
Assist Middleware teams with new environment builds and ongoing production support as needed.
Assist development teams in fine tuning reports and RPD models, and occasional report development

Job Title: Sr Oracle Applications Developer

Location: Houston, TX

Job Requirements:

5-10 years experience in Oracle backend database development utilizing procedures, packages, triggers.

Bachelor’s degree required.

Bachelor's or Master's in Management Information Systems or Computer Science preferred. 

Oil and Gas Industry experience required.

Required to be on-call during work and off-hours as necessary. 

May travel when necessary for system implementation and training

Essential Functions/Principal Accountabilities: 

Provide application development, enhancements, modifications, performance tuning and support services for assigned projects.

Work with IS technical resources to provide high availability monitoring and maintenance for assigned applications.

Understand a given software project "end-to-end" specifically beginning with Business Requirements, then the appropriate Data Architecture and corresponding User Interface (UI), and culminating with finished information products such as Web Viewers, Reports, Data Entry Applications, Interfaces to Other Systems, Graphical Outputs or Data Marts. 

Prepare specifications for new applications, enhancements, modifications, and support issues.  Also, prepare application documentation as required.  

Organize a technical project (ranging from 40 - 1000 hours in size) in its entirety and articulate the project as a logical sequence of executable tasks. 

Prepare project plans as needed illustrating tasks, task sequence, task dependencies, estimated effort per task, due dates and responsible parties. 

Understand the overall data integration strategy in both its current state, as well as planned future state. 

Develop and supervise the proper execution of test plans for assigned projects, and coordinate end-user participation and sign-off of same.  

Provide SOX documentation as required.

Know, practice and enforce the relevant IT policies and procedures. 

Actively pursue periodic developments with peer group to stay informed and contribute to other software projects occurring

Maintain an awareness and an updated status of projects that fall within span of responsibility 

Work closely with IT management to ensure project approaches, auditing, and processes adhere to development standards. 

Develop and maintain a close relationship with the IT technical staff members to properly utilize personnel in delivering information systems that support business requirements. 

Manage and deploy resources, in accordance with, service level agreements, for all assigned areas of application responsibilities. 

Develop and support data models and a data dictionary that supports the business requirements for tactical and strategic information products. 

Monitor and control the integrity of the data standards and application interfaces.
