Business Analyst (with VMware Exp)

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Computer Science
or Computer Engineering or equivalent enterprise experience
• MCSA Red Hat Certified System Administrator
(RHCSA) &/or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) a plus
• Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA)
Certification a plus
• Infrastructure Engineer related solutions for
various projects and operational needs.
• Install new/rebuild existing servers and
configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc.
in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
• Develop and maintain installation and
configuration documents.
• Contribute to and maintain system and security
standards.
• Research and recommend innovative and, where
possible, automated approaches for system administration tasks.
• Identify approaches that leverage our resources
and provide economies of scale.
• 5-7 years of strong background and Experience
with Windows-based (Server 2003/2008 & 2012).
• 5+ years’ experience with VMware/hypervisor
• 5 + years Application administration, monitoring
and supporting
• Proficient with deployments, Installs,
configurations, maintenance, and patching of multiple application servers
apache-tomcat
• Experience in Jboss and PostgreSQL is a plus
• Thorough understanding of enterprise system design
challenges.
• Under Graduate degree in CS/CE/MIS or
Engineering/Technology or related field.
• Professional level vendor certifications, such
as ITIL, VMware, Microsoft, and/or Linux.
• Design, review, analyze, develop, implement and
maintains complex software applications and services.
• Work closely with software architects to ensure
decisions meet long term enterprise growth needs
• Maintain current applications which include, but
is not limited to, deploying bug fixes and feature enhancements,
researching/troubleshooting issues, and performance tuning
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues; Identify
and implements solutions.
• Research and implement new technologies and
patch sets to enhance current processes, security and performance
• Develop and Maintain system and application
documentation with regard to troubleshooting, maintenance, start/stop, logging,
etc.
• Participate in a duty rotation providing 24 x 7
supports of production systems and applications.
• Experience implementing application & system
monitoring tools
• Have understanding of Java applications, and
J2EE framework.
• Identity Management including with LDAP / Active
Directory
• Must have Networking Knowledge (Sockets, TCP/IP,
UDP)
• Ability to scrutinize applications and services
to ensure they adhere to security standards.
• Demonstrated Agile methodology experience,
including technology delivery methods
• Knowledge of working in a SOX/PCI Compliance
environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication
3+ yrs Working experience in these areas
1. Windows server ( 2003, 2008 and 2012)
