Job description:
Major Fortune 500 Client is seeking an Oracle 9i Database Developer.
Requires:
PL/SQL scripting, PL/SQL stored procedures, Oracle 9i
Some work creating tables, indexes, allocating table space, SQL Loader
UNIX Shell Scripting: Korn Shell scripting (KSH), VI Editor, Some use
of AWK scripting.
Ability to run SQL scripts via KSH scripts: basic PL/SQL scripts, SQL
Loader (SQLLDR), SQLLDR control cards.
FTP operations via Unix scripts.
HP-UNIX platform only
Web Development: ASP/HTML scripting, including the ability to run
Oracle stored procedures from ASP (passing and returning and knowledge
of design methodology. Some exposure to database modeling. Knowledge
of PVCS and .NET a plus. Full life-cycle project experience.
Proficient in application design and knowledge of design methodology.
JOB RESPONSIBILIES:
* Analysis of the user requirements and functional design. Lead and
hands on participation in the technical design, development,
integration, testing and production implementation of the Project.
Technical guidance of the other programmers; technical documentation
and user communication.
