I shall be highly obliged if you could kindly give clarity on this.
- I have collected data using a questionnaire (survey method). The participants (agents) are asked to rate their formal and informal interactions on a scale. There for each agent pair I have two values representing each cell. Should I take the average or median of the two values (final answer would essentially be the same as there are only two observations). This question arises as the scale is ordinal.
- Second question is on when to use summation or product as a means to combine the objective function while executing an "optimizer" procedure
