Hello all,

I'm trying to install ORA on my computer which runs on Windows 10. I was able to install AutoMap just fine with Java 1.7, but I can't seem to install ORA (64-bit). I keep getting this error:

"This Application has Unexpectedly Quit: Invocation of this Java Application has caused an InvocationTargetException. This application will now exit. (LAX)"

I have already tried installing it in Compatibility Mode but that doesn't work either.

Any tips would be highly appreciated!

Best,
Marielle

One of the more technical people will be able to help directly, but it sounds like the distribution you downloaded is missing a native library that you need.

InstallAnywhere is still trying to catch up with the sandboxing and other security features of Microsoft OSes later than Windows 7.  Since we use InstallAnywhere, we have inherited those issues.

That message appears frequently in compatibility issues. Likely InstallAnywhere trying to find a library for a specific windows version and not finding it. We're updating the version of IA we use to generate installers and will be testing for this issue specifically.
