Shabbat Ki Tavo

Shabbat: September 12th-13th, 2025  |  20 Elul, 5785

This week is Parshat Ki Tavo. Please enjoy this bird themed, AI generated poem related to the parsha.

🕊️ Wings of the Covenant – A Poem for Parshat Ki Tavo

Upon the hills where olives grow,
A dove takes flight in the morning glow.
She carries hope on feathered breeze,
Above the land, through ancient trees.

Beneath her wings, the people stand,
With baskets full from promised land.
First fruits they bring with voices clear,
Declaring truths the skies still hear.

"A wandering Aramean," they cry,
As eagles circle in the sky.
From slavery to freedom's song,
They journeyed far, they journeyed long.

The stork that nests on the temple's beam
Knows blessing flows from the redeemed.
But cursed the path that turns away,
Like vultures chasing fields of gray.

Yet swallows dart with signs of grace,
Returning always to their place.
So too shall we, though we may roam,
Return with heart and come back home.

For like the owl who sees the night,
Hashem beholds both wrong and right.
But calls us still on wings of love,
To rise, repent, and soar above.

Camberville Eruv: The Camberville Eruv is in need of new checkers! The eruv is divided into 3 sections, with checkers specializing in one of the sections. Currently, one section is understaffed. It is covered by only two teams of checkers, which means these volunteers have to check every other week! Are you able to help out and volunteer to check the eruv? Typically, the commitment is to check once every 3-4 weeks, but there is some flexibility with this. Please let the eruv leadership team know if you are interested or have any questions by emailing Amy Robert at info...@nceruv.org

Please familiarize yourself with Harvard Hillel's exits in case of emergency. In addition to the main staircase, there are exits through the door behind the men's section and through the door to the left of the elevator. In continuation of last week’s other news, I love this incorporating an amusement park into our day. That's why we don't need vacations. Boy, quite a bit of pomp... under the circumstances. - Well, Adam, today we are men. - We are! - Bee-men. - Amen! Hallelujah! Students, faculty, distinguished bees, please welcome Dean Buzzwell. Welcome, New Hive Oity graduating class of... ...9:15. That concludes our ceremonies. And begins your career at Honex Industries! Will we pick our job today? I heard it's just orientation. Heads up! Here we go.
