Two in-person events this week

Hillel is hosting two outstanding speakers this week.

1) Tomorrow night at 8pm on campus (Emerson Hall, room 101. Map here), Walter Russell Mead will be talking about the U.S. Israel Relationship.

Walter Russell Mead the author of The Arc of a Covenant: The United States, Israel, and the Fate of the Jewish People, a 1,000 page response to Stephen Walt's (of HKS) and John Mearsheimer's The Israel Lobby and U.S. Foreign Policy which argued that the Israel lobby steers American foreign policy against its own interests.

The New York Times called it a highly nuanced history of US-Israel relations.

2) On Tuesday at 8pm Hillel, Noah Feldman will be talking about Israel's Judicial Reform.

Noah Feldman is Felix Frankfurter Professor of Law, Chairman of the Society of Fellows, and founding director of the Julis-Rabinowitz Program on Jewish and Israeli Law, all at Harvard University. Feldman also writes for The New York Review of Books and was a contributing writer for the New York Times Magazine for nearly a decade. He hosts the Deep Background podcast and is the author of 9 books, including his latest, The Broken Constitution: Lincoln, Slavery & The Refounding of America
