Hi,
I struggle with the repair of my 800Li. I had to replaced the cable between display and driver board (see the other post). Replaced the cable, what´s a quite easy job, but the bike is not willing to start-up again.
Bike was running fine before, except the interruptions from the broken wire.
That’s what I did and found:
Checked the wiring:
· No disconnections, no chortcuts
· No corrosion on switches and connectors
Put everything, except the MBB, on the desk and connected display and driver board with lab-wires. toggle switch on the relay board “Internal” (fwd),
· Could not measure any voltage on the relay board.
pressed the reset-button at the battery
· Status LED green for 45 sec flashing for another 5 sec.
· 0V on the output of the battery
removed cover form the BMS of the battery and checked voltage on the battery
· Bat(+) -> 37V
· Load(+) 0V
Connected the charger, toggle switch on the relay board “OFF”,
· Status LED green for 45 sec flashing for another 5 sec, in a constant rhythm
· CRG(+) -> 45,5V
· Bat(+) -> 39,9V
· Load (+) -0V
Connected the charger, toggle switch on the relay board “Internal” (fwd),
· Status LED green for 45 sec flashing for another 5 sec, in a constant rhythm
· CRG(+) -> 45V
· Bat(+) -> 41 to 42V
· Load (+) -0V
40A fuse on the relay board OK
80A fuse on the battery OK
Some soldering on the relay board seems to be bad -> resoldered -> no changes
Toggle switch bridged -> no changes
Temperature sensor (NTC) is 10,5k at 23°C, seems OK to me
No voltage on any other connector of the relay board
Feedback from Optibike (Jim): the red toggle switch on bottom will turn on the battery form sleep. It is momentary. Push it and wait a few seconds and you should see voltage on the black battery connector.
I have no clue, what triggers the BMS to switch on the Load(+).
Requires the driver board a ground connection to the battery via the frame? I don’t think so, since the ground is wired up to the driver board.
Is the connection of the MBB mandatory?
Any suggestions, what to do or check?
Thanks in advance
