Dear OPTI Users,
Unfortunately I can no longer support OPTI Toolbox with my current commitments in work and life, as well as the ongoing cost of commercial licenses, and therefore development has officially ceased. This has been a long time coming, but with ongoing requests for updated versions, I think it is only fair everyone knows the current state of the project.
For anyone wanting to compile and use updated versions of the solvers OPTI supplied, remember there were no special tricks required. Just Visual Studio, Intel Math Kernel Library, Intel Fortran Compiler (if the source contained FORTRAN), and MATLAB. I wrote opti_VSBuild which automated much of this process, as well as the solver install files also contained information on any required compiler flags or pre-processor defines.
I will leave the toolbox on GitHub, documentation on our company's website, and this forum will be frozen. In time, I imagine the toolbox will become more and more incompatible with future versions of MATLAB, but maintenance of the MEX files is just too time consuming.
I hope all the awesome solvers will see continued use, if not via OPTI, but via other platforms, with Python and Julia just to name a few alternatives.
