Hi,

Did you download and install the Academic version of OPTI? Only the Academic version comes with SCIP:

http://www.i2c2.aut.ac.nz/Wiki/OPTI/index.php/DL/DownloadOPTI

Hi Jonathan,

Is this all that is required to use SCIP with Opti Toolbox? After downloading the MEX file for SCIP and placing it inside of the Opti Toolbox folder containing the other solvers I am getting confirmation from optiSolver that SCIP is available but I am getting the "Undefined function or variable 'scipvar'." error even with very simple objective and constraint functions (ie. polynomial).

Any idea what I may be missing?

Hi,

A bit odd – how did you download OPTI? From the latest download page here:

https://inverseproblem.co.nz/OPTI/index.php/DL/DownloadOPTI

Or from the old site?

Anyhow, you just need this file:

https://github.com/jonathancurrie/OPTI/blob/master/Solvers/scipvar.m

Add it in to the same directory as you placed the mex file.

Hi, Johathan, is it possible to use SCIP-SDP in matlab through Yalmip. I cannot find the solver although I download the SCIP through https://inverseproblem.co.nz/OPTI/index.php/DL/Academic

Thanks

Hi, Jonathan

I noticed that you have uploaded a .m file on github to install SCIP-SDP for OPTI, but I cannot run it. The .m file can be found here:

Actually, I'm still not clear whether can we use SCIP-SDP in MATLAB environment according to OPTI, or any other methods like YALMIP. Can you help me figure out?

Thank you!

No, SCIP-SDP is not currently supported with OPTI.
