The problem could be separated three parts.
1) solve for N-months (with some estimation of demand), 1-month (with actual demand), weekly (re-scheduling)
to get how much number of the products in the orders could be produced for each day regarding due date and balancing.
2) solve the sequencing the final (or semi final) products of each line of each day
regarding enough span between specific options which has difficulty to assemble continuously.
3) scheduling from backward to assign machines, parts, components and tasks for the solution of (2)
(1) and (2) are optimization problem.
