Job Description

We are hiring an experienced Azure Data Engineer with Databricks Certification and Healthcare industry experience to support enterprise data initiatives and modern cloud data platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in building scalable Azure-based data solutions, developing ETL/ELT pipelines, and working with healthcare data environments.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Data Warehousing
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Databricks and Apache Spark
• Databricks Certification (Required / Highly Preferred)
• Prior experience in the Healthcare domain (payer, provider, health systems, insurance, EMR/EHR, claims, clinical, or member data environments)
• Expertise with:
  • Azure Data Factory (ADF)
  • Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS)
  • Azure Synapse Analytics
  • Azure SQL
  • Python and SQL
  • Delta Lake
  • Azure DevOps / CI/CD
• Experience building and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines
• Strong understanding of data governance, security, and cloud architecture
• Experience with performance tuning and large-scale data processing
• Agile/Scrum experience

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable data pipelines using Azure and Databricks
• Build and support healthcare data ingestion and transformation processes
• Process and optimize structured and unstructured healthcare datasets
• Implement data quality, security, and compliance standards
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and analytics teams
• Optimize Databricks workloads for performance and cost efficiency
• Support deployment automation and production releases

Preferred

• Experience with Healthcare data standards (FHIR, HL7, Claims, EHR/EMR)
• Azure Certifications preferred
• Experience with real-time and streaming data solutions
