Job Description
LTI Mindtree is seeking an experienced VMware Administrator to manage and support a large-scale enterprise VMware infrastructure while contributing to cloud migration initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with VMware vSphere technologies, virtualization, storage, networking, backup, and disaster recovery.
Responsibilities
Administer and maintain VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi, vCenter, clusters, DRS, HA, and vSAN.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize VMware infrastructure performance and availability.
Perform server patching, upgrades, firmware updates, and security hardening.
Manage backup and disaster recovery solutions using Veeam, VMware SRM, or similar tools.
Configure and maintain distributed virtual switches (vDS) and enterprise storage (SAN/NAS).
Support VMware-to-Azure migration activities using Azure Migrate and Azure Site Recovery (ASR).
Work with networking teams to configure ExpressRoute, VPNs, VNets, NSGs, and hybrid connectivity.
Automate infrastructure deployment and administration using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Terraform.
Create technical documentation and support infrastructure modernization initiatives.
Required Skills
5+ years of VMware vSphere administration experience.
Strong experience with:
VMware vCenter
ESXi
vSphere
DRS & HA
vSAN
Distributed Virtual Switches (vDS)
VMware Replication
Experience supporting enterprise environments with 300+ virtual machines.
Hands-on experience with Veeam, VMware SRM, or equivalent backup/disaster recovery tools.
Knowledge of SAN/NAS storage and enterprise networking (VLANs, routing).
2+ years of Microsoft Azure administration experience.
Experience with Azure Migrate and Azure Site Recovery (ASR).
Familiarity with Azure IaaS services, VNets, NSGs, and ExpressRoute.
Experience with PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Terraform is highly preferred.
Preferred Certifications
VMware Certified Professional (VCP-DCV)
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
