To the Attention of ALL STUDENTS
Of late, students have been approaching the Warden individually with complaints such as:
Loud music being played by some students in the hostels
Disturbance created by group of students playing cards throughout the night shouting and yelling in some hostel rooms
Girl students creating disturbance and nuisance in boys hostels
Students causing some sort of disturbance / nuisance or the other in the hostels
Such complaining students more often than not, prefer to hide identity. My advise to them is "Wake-up Sid ! ". I am sure PG students are competent to demonstrate better self-management and self-regulation. Most of such problems students come up with could be sorted out by themselves directly either by telling / advising fellow student/s causing such disturbance/ nuisance or through common friends. I am sure they would listen and oblige. In case problems persist, the help of SAC (Students’ Affairs Council) members may be sought. It is time students regulate themselves by communication, understanding and mutual adjustment rather than calling for help on such issues of concern between them.
Students are hereby advised to approach the SAC committee members for their assistance in sorting out minor problems. Any complaint on problems with other students or those concerning facilities may first be submitted / sent by mail to SAC or contact the members by phone who would scrutinize and sort them out by approaching the concerned persons. The list of SAC members along with their contact numbers and mail addresses is attached herewith for the information of students. Also please be informed that the Students Affairs Council would soon be recruiting junior members into the council.
