Timewillflip, an online shop build by two Hong Kong horopalettologists. We aim at promote the art of flip clock by offering quality vintage style clock and watch selection since 2014. Our mission is to promote the state of art flip clock and provide useful information source with an efficient channel for you to get the best flip clocks worldwide.
Crafted by one of the world's original flip clock manufacturers, in business since 1956, this expertly made timepiece is a helpful analog reminder to put your phone down. Features design detailing true to its mid-century predecessors and battery-operated quartz German movement to keep precise time.
Hello Anna, if I had seen this beautiful clock before I would have included in my post about wall clock:

It is really cool, I will had to my wish list. I also find that black wall clocks help me to be on time!
Thank you.
The hard part will be finding a flip-clock module exactly like the one they found. It's called a Pragotron IPJ 0612 flip slave clock. A few are available from eBay but the ones I have seen cost hundreds of dollars. Good luck.
Hi terryking228, in fact, I didn't understand what do you mean by saying sticky. I am sorry for this because my native language is Turkish. I taught myself how to speak English. So if you meant that "Didn't this topic already answered in our forums?", then the answer is no. There is no projects related to this flip clock project neither in this forum nor throughout the internet. The only resource is the link that I've shared at the first message.
That's right. The website has all sorts of informations needed to done this project. But I've got zero experience with arduino. So i can buy a flip clock but it might wont work. I've got 0 experience for real. But this project given to me should be done in some way. At this point, I think I need some help. And by talking people, we found out new problems that we may encounter during the development process. Like johnwasser said, every flip clock wont work in this project but you should find a proper one. Thanks...

Thanks for you valuable help johnwasser. You said that any flip clock mechanism wont work. I've found a flip clock on alibaba to buy. But dont know if it will work or not. You look familiar with flip clock mechanisms. Will this piece of mechanism work in this project? -detail/Unique-Retro-Desk-Wall-Clock-Auto_1011174743.html?spm=a2700.7724857.29.354.dwm2ho
Edit: If it needs to add a little extra information: The person who build this project used industrial type flip clock found in the railways station. But it might be possible to do the same using a cheaper flip clock. At this point, they said, "we can't help you because we don't know if it will work or not with any other flip clock mechanism."
Looks like it has a way of flipping forward either the hour or minute. Depending on the mechanism you might be able to drive the electro-mechanicals directly with an Arduino or you may need to add solenoids or servos to work mechanical levers. Without taking one apart I can't be sure.
Yes, it has a way of flipping forward every minute and hour but not seconds. When it comes to using servos or solenoids, yes maybe we need. I would like to stick into what they used in the original project. But its a possibility. Because we don't know how it will be like at this point. Thanks for your help.
Hi everyone me, again. I will order all required parts for this project from Amazon. My request is, could anyone list all the parts required to build this flip clock project please? I am not familiar with arduino and mechanics so I don't know their technical names. You can list their names like wires, relays, breadboards vs. vs. vs.

Amazon Echo Spot: Amazon discontinued the Echo Spot, so we can no longer recommend it. Although it was the most expensive clock we tested, we loved how small and simple it was to set up. It also offered more features than any other clock in our tests. Amazon has folded features from the Echo Spot into its smart displays, like the Echo Show 8 and the cheaper Echo Show 5 (which you can read more about in our guide to smart displays). We also recommend the Echo Dot in our guide to Alexa speakers, one of which comes in a version with an LED clock display.
Alessi Optic 02 B Alarm Clock: This now-discontinued model from Alessi was an example of high design being hampered by low-quality features. This clock was too audible to be a peaceful bedside companion, producing a tick-tock sound so loud that it bothered us even when we were in the next room. No doubt, the Italian space-age design is eye-catching, but having this clock near the bed made the passing of time a torturous, second-by-second affair. And we found its plastic construction flimsy, with tiny and difficult-to-set dial controls that had more in common with a cheap, drugstore alarm clock than something sold for many times the price.
The discovery fills in a missing link in the molecular mechanisms that control our daily wake-sleep cycle. The central player of our biological clock is a protein called PERIOD (PER). The number of PER proteins in each of our cells rises and falls every 24 hours. Our cells use the level of PER protein as an indicator of the time of the day and tell our body when to sleep or be awake.
With age, for instance, the biological clock seems to decline, often causing older people to suffer from difficulty sleeping. There is also strong evidence that shift workers, such as nurses and emergency personnel, who work long shifts that break them out of the normal 24-hour cycle of waking and sleeping, are at much higher risk for certain diseases.
The biological clock also appears important to the development of disease, most likely due to its daily influence over metabolic cycles. Daily cell cycles are fundamental to normal operation of genetic mechanisms that control how cells grow and divide, both in normal development and in cancer.
The Hinje black flip clock is a stylish timepiece with a retro vibe. Whether used as a desk clock or hung on the wall, it's an eye-catching home accessory. The clock's pared-back design is perfect for minimalist spaces, while its steel body and exposed mechanism channel industrial decor.
Fliqlo is an elegant personalization software developed by an independent web/UI designer, Yuji Adachi. It is a clock screensaver that allows you to turn the screen of your desktop or laptop into a flip clock. However, its capabilities are more than that of a screensaver. It provides accurate time, switchable between 12-hour or 24-hour clock format. The app is available on Windows and Mac, but the latter offers more customizable features, such as screen orientation options, brightness control, option to show or hide the background, and viewing the clock on a primary or multiple displays.
Fliqlo is one of the clock-themed screensavers that is recommended for you to try. It is an efficient and highly customizable tool that provides accurate time. It contains some drawbacks and technical issues, but, nevertheless, this is an ideal screensaver, especially for office workers.
When it comes to picking an online clock, there are so many styles you can choose from. For a more lively clock design, pick a colorful gradient. For a more distraction-free and simplistic look, pick a minimal clock. Here are some to get started!
@summrum i was thinking same thing. I mean theres the little button on the panel usually that lets you minimize all windows you have up but leaves your widgets and other more permanent things up. It would just that same command (whatever it is) with the alarm clock whitelisted and using the local time as an input instead of a keypress? Which makes me wonder, how would you go about finding out what command that button is using.?
