Hey guys,

Had anybody already requested the Intellij Licenses for OPS4J?

Thanks and kind regards,
Andreas

I have not. JetBrains normally sends a reminder. When does it expire?

Also, isn't CE actually good enough? If they ask, I would like to answer, because I only use CE nowadays.

Especially for Wicket / Web Development I need the full edition (Javascript, HTML, ...). The Problem is the missing web languages support which is especially required for Wicket Development. Don't know when the current license expires. Where do we store the license :)

Kind regards,
Andreas

Since we moved to github there was no place to put it.
At Subversion-time we had a committer-only readable folder to satisfy the (then valid) guidelines for sharing such OSS license with the community.

I think its best to ask jetbrains about the policy. Maybe.. just maybe it is good enough if we put it in a public project on github (under ops4j) and state that the license shall be used only for OPS4J related work.
If we really need to hide the license we could just share it with admins once and then state on the website that contributors may request the license by writing an email to ops4j-infra, or similar.

I also just use CE these days but i recall the UE will expire somewhere in january.

Hey guys,

Intellij just answered me and sent me an updated answer. They've not really offered a solution how to store/share the license. Independently I'm free to share the license with the core-team; the question now: how do we define "core-team"?

Kind regards,
Andreas

Remove "core" and say that anyone that has commit rights to any of the repositories.

Because that was the original ACL of such licenses prior to GitHub.
