Question from an email I received:
Currently on you website it says when I want to
embed a video I have to use this syntax:
[[media
object='{“filename”:”ghmp-basic-skills-20121001.m4v”,”download_url”:”http://downloads.digital-campus.org/media/pnc/ghmp-basic-skills-20121001.m4v”,”digest”:”3ec4d8ab03c3c6bd66b3805f0b11225b”}’]]Test
Video[[/media]]
But
when I do this, the text comes as is in the page on the
phone. Where should this be inserted on moodle? I pasted it
under page content and that is how I go this result. And my reply:
For the video embedding, when the code is exported to Oppia and
you see it on the phone, is the text the you see a link? If so,
then clicking this should open the video (or tell you if it's not
downloaded on your phone).
If you'd like to show an image for users to press to launch the
video, then you can replace the "Text Video" text in the moodle
page with an image instead. It's not yet set up to automatically
pull in a screenshot from the video (as you get with, e.g YouTube
video embedding)
Am posting here in case this info is useful to others,
Cheers,
Alex
