Important: Transition to New Docker Setup for Developers (Oppia-web)

Dear Oppia-devs,

We are excited to announce that we are transitioning to a new Docker setup for our development environment. This transition will streamline our development processes and ensure consistency across all development environments.

Instructions for Transitioning to New Docker Setup:

1. Visit the Installing Oppia using Docker documentation page on GitHub.

2. Follow the step-by-step instructions provided in the documentation to set up Docker on your local machine for Oppia development.

3. If you encounter any issues or have questions during the setup process, please refer to the Q&A Installation discussion section on GitHub. If your question isn’t addressed there, please open a new discussion thread in the “Q&A Installation” section to seek assistance or clarification from our Docker team members.

Note: We will be removing the Python installation from the codebase on or after 6th May 2024, so please try out the above steps and let us know of any issues before 29th April 2024.
