installing opnet modeler 11.5

Hi, i am trying to install opnet modeler 11.4 in my system.
I am using windows Vista. As per the system requirements of opnet
modeler 11.5, i have installed windows Xp on virtual PC. Then, i have
installed Microsoft Visual studio 2003 and added the environment
variables as specified in some posts. Then i have installed opnet
modeler 11.5 and tried to run a small network, with 2nodes, sharing
some data.
But, i couldn't get the output. I am getting as

Error loading shared object file
(C:\Documents and Settings\Vinay\op_models\project2-
scenario1.dev32.i0.nt.dll)
The specified module could not be found.

Error loading scenario model library -- unable to proceed

I am getting a prompt as
OP_RUNSIM_DEV.exe-unable to locate component

The application has failed to start because MSVCR80.dll was not found.
Re-installing the application may fix the problem.


Can anyone help me in installing it correctly and working on my
project.

hi vinay

Before setting environmental variable firstly you try to install all
three part. and then install license. I have done it with vs2005 .

you can also install it on Windows Vista directly without using virtual machine.

Each file you need to install DON'T double click on it,

press right click then select RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR,

I tried it myself on Windows 7 and its working.

I tried to install OPNET 11.5 in Windows Vista and Windows 7. In both the cases, after 10 minutes of installation,I clicked finish. But when I tried to open OPNET,the programfiles folder is empty. I tried to reinstall it, still same problem exists. It appears that installation going on, but the folder is empty. Why is it so? I'vent installed any compilers? Is that the problem? Will visual Studio 2010 work with OPNET?
