Hello,

I installed OPNET modeler 17.1 at my laptop (OS: Windows 7).

I slightly modified a process model, and ran simulation. But I see the following errors.

Based on some FAQs on OPNET website, I set "Network simulation repositories" to stdmod. I don't see the errors but I cannot see any change on the process model when I run simulation. It seems that OPNET executes the old version of the process model. Is there anyone who knows how to resolve this problem? Thanks.

Messages on ODB (OPNET Simulation debugger) console when I run simulation:

Hi

What did you change, and if you did how did the old model exist, not sure if you did change/amend or not, please clarify your simulation,

Hi

I put several lines of codes into grp_rte.function block in a process model "grp_rte". The codes are very simple. For example, I put printf ("this is a test") into the function block to see that message in ODB after running a simulation. It seems my new codes do not change the simulation result at all.

You have to save the process model and compile it, that is only way to change the model, then you should get the printf output, if not you may have deleted something or file,

Hi  Abdussalam,

I did save and compile it without no compilation errors. But when I run simulation, the simulation is aborted as you can see error messages I posted.

According to some OPNET FAQs, it seems that I should create a repository. Is that correct? If so, how can I create a repository? If not, could you let me know another way to resolve this?

Thanks,
YH

I don't think you need to create a repository while just having a small change in a process model, not sure what kind of application you want to do, but seems like you deleted some thing and it is missing,

Hi,

I found this problem was caused by using C compiler (32bits) that is incompatible with my OS (windows 7 64 bits). FYI, I installed OPNET modeler for windows 7 and ms visual studio 8. I additionally installed compiler libraries for 64bits (x64). As a result, I can use Modeler without any problems now. Thanks.
