COMMUNITY LIFE
Faith Promise, Sunday Evening, October 4, 4:00-8:00 PM: All are invited to meet at the Milkowski’s located at 22471 W 220th St, Spring Hill KS 66083, for a hayride and bonfire. The church will provide the meat, last names beginning with A-L can bring a snack, M-Z please bring something to drink. Remember to bring your lawn chairs!
Wednesday Night Book Study begins this Wednesday, October 7 at 6:45 PM: Plan now to attend a six-week study on Dan Boone’s book, “Charitable Discourse.” Pastor Vicki (later joined by Pastor Phil) will lead the study on this book that teaches us how to talk about the divisive issues of our day. More information and a sign-up list are at a table in the foyer.
Wednesday Night Meals, 6:00 PM in the Activity Center: Come for good food and fellowship around the table. ELL, Youth and Children’s programming will follow. Donation is $5 per person or $15 max per family.
On Thursday, October 8, the Mesdames group is taking lunch to the KCRM Women's Center, located at 11th and Prospect, Kansas City, MO 64127. Please bring a dish to share. Call Kay Williams (or email will...@gmail.com) to find out what is needed. We are serving 19 ladies as well as ourselves. Plan to meet at the church at 10:00 AM and carpool. Drivers needed. Maps will be available at the church office.
Work Day, Saturday, October 10, 8:30 AM: Please plan to come and help us keep our church property properly maintained and looking good. Contact John Harms for more information.
During October we pause to express appreciation to our pastors for their care for us. It is difficult to adequately thank them for how selflessly and faithfully they offer their lives to us in ministry. Please take advantage of this month for an extra thank you, stop and pray with a pastor, send a note saying how much they mean to you, and in other specific ways thank God for these dedicated servants. The pastoral staff are listed on the last page of the bulletin. —Personnel Committee
All-church Renewal Sunday, November 8: We will welcome Rev. Al Dicer as our speaker for services of renewal and challenge. Mark your calendars for this important Sunday!
PULSE & ONE MINISTRIES
Connect Groups: We will not have our normal Connect Group gathering tonight (Sunday). Plan to meet at the Milkowski’s for a Hayride from 4:00 –8:00 PM! Bring your lawn chair.
Pulse: Join us for worship, prayer, and some fun games! This week, we'll continue to talk about stewarding our time and keeping our foundation upon Christ.
Student Events: Pastors Travis and Rachel love to attend your games, concerts, and other extra-curricular events. Please give us a copy of your schedules so we can cheer you on!
CHILDREN MINISTRIES
Children, first thru fifth grade will remain in the service today (Sunday).
Wednesdays for Kids, Pre-K through 5th grade: Join us from 6:45-8:15 PM for a middle of the week Bible Lesson and fun activities.
Dads! It's your turn for a night out! Mark your calendar for Thursday, October 22nd! More details to follow.
