Okay I'm really new to gis in general and I just picked up qgis a few days ago. Was working on a shape file (trying to digitize districts in a city by tracing a georeferenced map). I went through 27 polygons and pressed save, and I got am error saying "geometric error can't save layer" or something to that affect and then promptly crashed. I did save the project.
However now when I open my file it only has 4 polygons and the rest have disappeared, but the thumbnail in "recent projects" still has a picture of the map with 27 polygons. Can anyone please help me retrieve this data? I'm desperate, was working on that for over 5 hours. Using qgis 3.6 Noosa. (I've also downloaded the autosaver plug in if that's of any help)
