Hello,
OpMon comes with a generic SNMP command with which you can monitor any OID, let me walk you through it.
First, go to Network, Discovery, click on Authentications and entry your SNMP community configuration and save it.
Second, go to Management, Hosts and click on the + signal to add a new device to OpMon. If already have the device on OpMon, go to the Third step.
- Choose Linux and SNMP model.
- If your host // IP is not listed there, add it manually clicking on the button on the bottom
- After that follow the model, choosing the community you previously added on the model and follow the tabs. Here you can monitor standard SNMP counters on the storage.
- at the end, you shall have the host on OpMon
Third Step, goto Management, Services, click the + signal on the toolbar.
- choose the host you want to add the new monitoring to
- choose the name of the monitoring, service name
- choose period the item will be monitored
- optional a service group and click next ( not needed )
- 1.Select the monitoring command, look for check_snmp
- 2.set the arguments as follows: ARG1 OID to monitor, ARG2 label to be shown on OpMon and ARG3 is the unit of the metric, examples, KB, s, ms
- Apply the command and the new check should be on OpMon
Let me know if this was help full.
