Ibrought a winch crane online, and wired it up to the battery of the truck having bolted it down where I wanted it, then used the anderson plug provided to connect the winch motor to the pendant. It works fine, and has done without fail.

I wanted to make it wireless so I brought a kit on ebay, that comes with the wireless transmitter and remote. The transmitter has 5 wires. Red for positive, black for negative, blue is the aerial, yellow and white for the winch.

It doesn't look like there's a solenoid fitted on that setup but your wireless receiver won't have anywhere near the amps required to run the winch motor. You'll need to get a solenoid similar to the one in the link below and use the yellow and white wires to operate it.

One of the helpful and "cool" things about about modern winches is the ability to have a wireless remote to operate a winch. This means you are not limited to a cabled remote or having to be in the vehicle to operate the winch. The Viper Elite winches come standard with that capability, and this feature can be added to other Viper winches. One thing to note is that the Viper winch wireless remote receiver is not powered on all the time, so you must "wake it up" when you are ready to use the wireless remote. To do that, follow these instructions

This will turn on the wireless receiver, and now you are good to go and the Viper wireless remote will operate the Viper winch. Be aware that the Viper wireless receiver will turn back off automatically.

Your new Mile Marker Plug N Play wireless winch remote control has already been paired with your control box at the factory. However, if your wireless remote control loses its signal to the control box, or you want to pair additional remotes (up to five), follow the instructions below to pair.STEP: Press the white oblong button on the front of the control box. The button will turn red.STEP: Press the round receiver button on the back of the control box (next to the cable). The button will turn red.STEP: On your wireless remote control, press and hold the OUT button only (usually one to three seconds). The round button on the back of the control box will start to flash. Shortly thereafter your winch will start to winch out, release the OUT button. Your remote control is now paired to the receiver.NOTES:

To prevent cross-contamination with other wireless devices, the round receiver button will only be active for approximately 5 seconds. Have your wireless remote control ready prior to pushing the round receiver button. In the event the remote control did not pair, repeat steps 2 and 3. Charge your wireless remote control prior to this operation. Refer to reverse side for charging instructions.INSTALLATION: USING PIGTAILWARNING: Make sure to disconnect battery first!

Have you ever been in a situation where you wished you had in-cab winch controls? Do you own a vehicle with both a wireless winch controller and a garage door system, such as HomeLink? If so, you can program your garage door opener to operate your winch. I have used this method with Toyota and Lexus HomeLink systems and Smittybilt X2O winch controllers successfully, and other brands should also be compatible based on the operating frequency. As long as your wireless winch controller operates on 310Mhz, 315Mhz, or 390Mhz, then this trick should work for you. Here are programming instructions for Jeep, Ford, GM, Dodge, Mercedes, Land Rover, or Toyota/Lexus.

Plug n Play. Wireless receiver uses the same port as the Sherpa wired hand remote. Allows the user to move freely with the winch rope or cable. Great for winch recoveries when caught by yourself. No need to run the wired control cables back into the cabin.

Note - Sherpa only supply these wireless remote kits to customers purchasing a new Sherpa winch or to customers who have already purchased a Sherpa winch and wish to retrofit the unit. The wireless remote kit will not work with other brands such as Warn winches.

Generally speaking, our winch models are not limited to models, you only need to confirm that your vehicle has a bumper with a winch mounting hole or a winch mounting bracket before purchasing a winch. Please refer to the manual for specific installation methods.

All of our winches of all sizes can change the reverse of the clutch, which means that all can realize the "chrono" function.

For the specific operation method, you can check the related videos of the YOUTUBE channel.

Please check first if your own wiring is correct? Then provide the video of the winch not working and the picture of the winch wiring and send it to the customer service staff, they will help you solve it.

Please test the wired remote control first. If the wired remote control works but the wireless remote control does not work, the winch is fault-free. Then you need to open the control box to check whether the wiring of the receiver and the relay is loose? And take pictures for us, if not, please contact our customer service staff to replace the wireless remote control set for free.

Please note that if the package is seriously damaged, it must be transported by express violence. First, you need to take a photo, including the picture of the damaged package, the picture of the logistics side of the package, and the picture of other damaged items, and then contact the customer service staff to deal with it.

The control box can be moved and does not have to be mounted on the winch, but it should be noted that the distance from the winch motor cannot be too far, because the power cable on the control box needs to be connected to the motor terminal.
