Isuddenly have a "Dark Mode" view on DropBox for web. While I think it's great this is finally available, I am now unable to read comments on files because there is black text on dark gray background. I can't even figure out how to turn it off in settings. I am using Chrome for OSX, Version 118.0.5993.70 (Official Build) (x86_64)

Thanks, Megan. I use Dark Mode wherever I can. I had OSX set to Dark (I have had it this way for years). It appears that Chome uses the OSX settings (Light, Dark, or Auto). I could not find a setting ONLY for Chrome. But in the past, this has not been a problem as DropBox was always "light", even when I had my OSX settings set to Dark Mode. This is something that changed since last week, I now view "dark mode" in DropBox and I can't read the comments unless I change the entire settings of my operating system to Light mode.

You also mentioned that you weren't able to disable dark mode on just Dropbox. We're also currently working on a toggle that will allow you to override your device settings to stay on light mode or dark mode. Stay tuned for that!

I'm using the desktop app of OneNote on my Surface Pro. I use dark mode, lines or grids, and many fun colors to take and organize my notes. Dark mode is easier on the eyes and less distracting when writing notes in a dark classroom.

The only way to export and save these notes is to print as PDF but it doesn't save in dark mode. Instead, the background is light, the lines or grids is the most noticeable feature of the PDF, and I can't read half of my written notes because I'm trying to read white or yellow writing on a white page. It also seems like some colors aren't compatible with printing because there are many blank spaces.

I don't intend to actually print these. Printing a completely black page is a waste of ink and makes no sense. That's probably why the print to PDF feature turns it to a white page. However, I want the ability to save my notes as a PDF exactly as they appear in OneNote. Is there a way to do this? If not, can this feature be included in an update? I'm most frustrated because iPad users using an iOS app have this feature.

If you are looking to use dark mode on your iPad, you can do it by going into any page, going into the "View" tab at the top, and then select "Switch Background", which should turn your Background from light to dark and back.

From what I have heard, the only way to do it would be to go through the mobile app, turning on dark mode on the mobile app, and then and then try saving it as a PDF. It should work, but I had problems with very long notes.

If you deleted the notes from your PC and then sync to your phone, the notes that you wanted to keep may be deleted due to the sync. HOWEVER, if you deleted the notes that you wanted to keep in the last 60 days, I would definitely recommend to do the following:

Click View and then click Deleted Notes. Any notes you deleted in the last 60 days should reappear and right clicking one of these notes will give you the option to restore them. This is in the case that you have not permenantly deleted them.

I updated my M1 Pro MBP to Sonoma 14.3 last night, and now Accordance won't open. When I updated, I closed all my apps and the computer was in dark mode. Accordance seemed to be trying to reopen in dark mode as well, but kept crashing. Even when I "cancelled" recovering my last open session, it still crashed. So, I flipped the computer to dark mode and got Accordance to open. When I switched MacOS back to light mode, Accordance crashed. I've not been able to get it to reopen since in either light or dark mode.

The ones with .amynotes are the newest ones. I'd open each of them in 14.0.8 and make sure you have all of the content, then keep any that are .amynotes and toss the rest. If there's content in older ones not in .amynotes files, you might want to migrate the content over to them.

I am experiencing a few crashes with opening modules in 14.0.8 on Sonoma 14.3 on my M2 MacBook Air (re-testing on 14.0.9 beta). I also found a Dark Mode/Light Mode toggle crash with 14.0.9 beta that has been reported and will be resolved shortly.

I'm going to be running some extensive tests of 14.0.9 beta on Sonoma 14.3 over the weekend and early next week, and I've encouraged other Mac beta testers to do the same before we officially release 14.0.9. I want to ensure Apple hasn't done something with Sonoma 14.3 that's going to cause any issues.

Thanks, Nathan. So far, everything has been running very smoothly since I did a "clean" install of Accordance 14.0.8 on Sonoma 14.3.

Although, after receiving the email about not updating, I'm kind of afraid to touch Accordance and break something. ?

I know that when I updated to Sonoma 14.2 (I am currently running Accordance 14.0.8 I was having some issues with setting up my user notes and accessing my HCBS Strongs bible. So I got rid of all of the Accordance files (some from previous versions) and did a clean install, updated the app to 14.0.8, and finally the content. Since then I have updated to Sonoma 14.3 and my Accordance 14.0.8 is still running smooth as silk.

I'd have to ask other staff members. I personally haven't jumped into beta testing macOS yet since I only have two Macs (an Apple Silicon Mac and an Intel Mac), and I'm trying to decide how I could do it without critically breaking my workflow, and if I'd need to use Public Betas or Developer Betas.

With that said, I'm open to hearing strategies on how you did it in the past in case I could personally jump in and do this. You also have access to my phone number if you want to call one afternoon and chat with me about it.

1. If you don't have an issue with your print servers on campus or don't use the campus printers, it is unlikely that you would cause a problem for others just by staying with the old OS version (check with your university's IT department to make sure).

2. If you have to upgrade your OS, ask Nathan to put you on the beta program to get a pre-release version of Accordance 14.0.9 that works with Sonoma 14.3. Being pre-release software, it might have other bugs, but judging by forum posts, it sounds at least as stable as 14.0.8.

in my case the underlying cause of this was that one of the tables had a BLOB column and it had huge content. you can either filter out that column (or table) from the dump, or you can increase the value of max_allowed_packet (default 4M) to something large like 500M.

This has got to be literally the most idiotic design choice I've encountered in a long while. There is absolutely no indication about the button's status if you're running in dark mode. Neither text nor color or shape. Not even a slight hue variation, or maybe a small message when the error pops up and it says I can try pushing that button. Zero indication whatsoever, just "press the button lol".Loved spending the last 20-30 mins trying to figure out why the freaking button didn't seem to be usable, deleting and recreating the database and choosing various combinations of settings, in case I was missing something. I was almost about to give up and import my SQL with another software.

I'm running STM32CubeIDE on a Ubuntu 18.04 system. I've switched it to dark mode for programming, but any "#if" preprocessor directives in the code have a light background. Which, makes it impossible to read. I've looked through all the properties on syntax coloring, and I don't even see a place where I can choose a background color for preprocessor directives.

I've had the same issue. Instead of "General -> Appearance -> Colors and Fonts", try "C/C++ -> Editor". In "Appearance color options" choose "Inactive code highlight" on the list and select a color of your choice. Or just untick "Highlight inactive code" on "General Behavior" form above.

I think it's an Eclipse issue, not necessarily an STM32CubeIDE one. Eclipse has had a number of issues with dark themes for years. As far as I know, the best workaround is to manually fix the color like others have shown above.

It should work like this:

Initialize, Switch off, white background, black texts everywhere;

Switch on, black background, white texts everywhere;

Switch off, white background, black texts everywhere again.

Works perfectly with the blocks arranged like the image below.

Use the Any components in for each loops to set their attributes.

What you said makes sense, i just have no idea how to apply that, as I said before, i'm a beginner.

Hello @4801816541 Welcome to the Canvas Community. Thank you for posting your question. There is no "dark mode" that is built into the Canvas LMS (Learning Management System). However, this is a pretty popular feature request by Community members, and you can read more about it here: -dark-theme-for-canvas" modifiedtitle="true" title="Dark .... I'd encourage you to vote on it and maybe add a comment to the bottom of it if you feel that it's something you'd like Instructure (the company that makes Canvas) to implement. Also, check out some of the comments in that thread because some people have found ways to add a dark theme on their own...and so that might be an option for you as well.
