Suppose this does not show you a new WordPress version, and you still can not update WordPress automatically. One of the plugins or code in the WordPress theme may prevent the updater from connecting to wordpress.org servers and looking for a new WordPress version.
Log into your Synology, access File Station and the directory where your WordPress files are stored and overwrite them with the new WordPress files. Overwrite all your files on web/wordpress except the file wp-config.php, wp-content entry folder and .htaccess

This check is disabled by default since it queries an external service.
