Image tags for Operands via CR ?

Hi Team,

We have an operator which deploys multiple microservices. Wanted to understand is it a good practice to take image tags via CR ? Operator is supposed to know what are the image tags for a particular release. Only input might be required with respect to Images can be registry URL or secrets to private registry.

I see some scenarios where in we can take Image Tags via CR. HotFix or Security Fix can be one of the reasons. Or For Support Team to quickly debug something.
