Hello everyone,

We’re excited to share that the Operator Framework CNCF project is holding an election to choose seven new project chairs.

🚀 Nominations Are Now Open

We're now accepting nominations from community members who are interested in taking on a chair role.
If you would like to run, please review the role of Operator Framework chairs[1] and submit your nomination. In your nomination email, please include:
  • Your full name
  • Your email address
  • A short statement (up to 500 words) about your experience and why you’re a good fit for the role
Please send your nomination to cma...@redhat.com with the subject line: Operator Framework Chair Nomination
Nominations are open until Friday, July 11, 2025 at 11:59:59 PM GMT.

Who’s Eligible to Run?

To be eligible, you must have been a member of the Operator Framework Google Group as of Friday, June 20, 2025.
If you're already serving as a chair, you’re welcome to run for re-election.

🗳️ Election Timeline

We’ll be using the Condorcet Internet Voting Service (CIVS)[2] to run the election.
  • Voting starts: Monday, July 21, 2025
  • Voting ends: Friday, August 8, 2025 at 11:59:59 PM GMT
All eligible voters will receive an email with voting instructions when the election opens.

🙌 Who Can Vote?

To vote in this election, you must have been a member of the Operator Framework Google Group[3] as of Friday, June 20, 2025.

⚠️ ACTION REQUIRED to Receive Your Ballot

To receive your voting link, you must activate the email address you used to join the Google Group.
👉 Please complete this step here: https://civs1.civs.us/cgi-bin/opt_in.pl
You will need to enter:
  • The email address you use with the Operator Framework Google Group[3]
  • The activation code provided by CIVS in your email account (two steps, do not close the tab)
Once you’ve activated your address, you’ll automatically receive your ballot when the election begins.
