Opera does not display the java portfolio on moneycentral.com or the graphs
on investors.com. This is probably a java problem. I've installed the latest
version of SUN java, I've reinstalled Opera - still does not work. Why does
Opera have such difficulties displaying java applications or why is so
difficult to make it display java applications. Java is everywhere, one
should not have to jump through hoops to display common WebPages.

Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

Peter

We must go to very different sites - I'd be lucky if I came across one
site a week using Java.
But Java has suffered from the same disease as so many other things on
the web, Microsoft's strategy of Embrace, Extend and whatever. The
microsoft Java Development Kit often produces applets incompatible with
Sun. So much for the totally cross-platform environment!

Please give better instructions how to get to the exact site or part of it
you have problems with. I'm willing to help, but I'm not going to scan
through all of their content till I stumble over your problem, provided I
see it at all.

Do you mean the "Deluxe Portfolio Manager ?"
That's an ActiveX control and will run on IE, and on IE only.
What do you expect from an MSN page?
BTW ActiveX controls are built-in security holes designed to support virii.
