my opera just updated itself to 11.

i'm running an opteron dual core with XP and 2Gb ram.

when i load a second flash game, opera starts using about 600MB of
memory, and starts paging it. goodbye usability.

iE, firefox and chrome are still small and fast with the same flash
games.

opera has gone from being small and delightful to yet another hog.
nice work, team/.

I've only used Opera 11 a little bit, but noticed the same thing.

It was a clean installation and it's not my main browser. I often have two
or three versions of Opera opened at the same time, and as long as I don't
load very resource intensive pages, the PC will cope. My 'main' browser is
Opera 10.1, but I have to start 10.63 to watch the BBC iPlayer because
some things don't work in 10.1. After I installed Opera 11, I tried using
it instead to watch the iPlayer whilst flipping between 10.1, but it
started paging very quickly and was generally sluggish.

On subsequence boots, doing the same thing again with 10.1 and 10.63 works
as well as it always has.
