I am using a subset of Slackware 12.2 as my linux system, with a hijacked nvidia driver (accelerated) taken from Slackware 13. My problem is that the flash plugin actually works and can be _found_ under Slackware 12.2 the subset, but can't be found under Slackware 13. Also, this subset of slackware deliberately does _not_ use the mplayer or xine plugin, preferring instead to call the appliance program, in this case xine.

This is an "entry" intel atom 330/ion platform in which, generally, the peacemaker benchmark runs slightly better under Windows XP than under the two versions of Linux also resident on the same hard drive.

P. S. I tried to post this using the 10.5 alpha news reader (wow!) and didn't succeed at first, so I tried again using my native news reader and Slackware Linux facilities. That worked.

Funny thing, the Slackware clipboard demon never heard of opera 10.5, so it did not transfer the copied text from opera to this buffer. Best regards to ambitious developers.

One more thing: The xine plugin I use on that version of Linux also works well with 10.5alpha.
