My primary reason for trying Opera was that after Adobe upgraded flashplayer
to version 10 some 4 months ago my Internet Explorer 7.0 started freezing
randomly, and the culprit was at last found to be the plugin module
Flash10a.ocx (Opera users will not know this module, there is a different
one from Adobe for Opera etc.)
So I tried Opera to see if this browser behaved better, and indeed it did -
until today. Suddenly tonight I found Opera frozen in a tight loop when I
brought it up again from minimized state. The symptoms are identical to
those I have become so tired of with IE7.
On Adobe forum there is a huge number of problem reports on Flash10a.ocx and
IE7 freezes but no working solution.
After my "shocking" experience tonight I now wonder if users of Opera have
any knowledge of this problem and if there is any suggestion on what to do?
I shall be most grateful for anything that can help me find a solution.

Adobe sucks, try Opera forums.

It's been a while, so you may not see this, but if it makes you
feel any better, this problem has been driving me insane, and it
seems to happen in all Opera versions I use - maybe not if you
use XP but I use 98SELite.
BTW WHY the hell do you use Vista? Isn't life difficult enough?
One of the things I did once is install shockwave instead of
flash - it's basically the same thing. But the next time I ran
Opera the problem was back.
Constantly reinstalling the flash plug in is a bit of drag, even
though it seems to work a little bit.
Even renaming the stupid DLL doesn't work - I have to REMOVE it
from the plugins dir it is STILL crashes!
In fact even though I think Firefox sucks BIG TIME, I have been
forced to use FF a few times because of this. Needless to say,
you would rather die than use IE for anything but chm help
files.
I do NOT like FF, it is INCREDIBLY overrated, and I am going to
write to Opera support about this. Maybe if I berate FF enough,
they will come up with a solution...
