I installed Shockwave_Installer_Full.exe but plugin won't install. The
opera browser says the Shockwave for Directory is not installed when
trying to display the image.
Do I miss some settings? Plugins are enabled. Opera 8.54 on Windows XP.
Thank you.

What happens when you run the Shockwave installer? It shoudl detect Opera
(as a browser that supports Netscape-plugins). Under Tools > Advanced >
Plugins, you can see if the plugin did get installed.

The only dialog is 'choose language' and then installing.

Plugin for Shockwave reads:
Shockwave Flash
application/x-shockwave-flash swf
application/futuresplash spl
C:\Program Files\Opera\Program\Plugins\NPSWF32.dll

And then what? Error messages anywhere? You should see the browsers that
get detected by the installer before the actual installation starts. You
didn't pick an installer that's only suited for MSIE, I hope?

That's Flash. You want this:
Shockwave for Director
application/x-director dcr,dir,dxr
C:\Program Files\Opera9\Program\Plugins\np32dsw.dll

I installed the folowing, with no errors, only to confirm installation.
If not correct, can you point to the right address?
Thank you much.

That should be the right one. If I run it, after a the language selection
and wiating for a while, I get a dialog that tells me which browsers are
supported, where I can browse to additional browsers and/or confirm the
installation.

I had to include plugin path C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Shockwave
10 in C:\Program Files\Opera\profile\opera6.ini. Else Opera didn't find
the installed Shockwave.
