Have you enabled Turbo? This is a feature that routes your web traffic
through a proxy server to reduce the download size and speed things up.
One of the side effects is that it increases the compression on images,
reducing image quality. You can right-click on an image to reload it in
its original form, but not background images, I think.
There's no point using Turbo if you have a fast connection, it's mainly of
use to people on dialup or slow public wireless hotspots.

Yes! It was that!
In fact I thought to let it enable anyway to obtain the best condition
while I use a dsl connection because it is not much fast as others, but at
least it performs at 1Mbps speed. Now it is clear to me that Turbo is to
be used only x dialup or isdn or cellphone low performance connection.

Thank you. I've had that problem too. Switching teh turbo off has resolved
it.
