Setting preferences for Dowloads - application/pdf it offers me
Open with delafult application (/usr/local/bin/acroread)
Open with other application (/usr/sfw/bin/acroread)
Use plugin
"Use plugin" doesn't work for some reason (worked fine on Opera 8.*).
"/usr/local/bin/acroread" doesn't exist on my machine.
So I ticked "Open with other application", which workds fine whenever I
click on a URL for a file with a '.pdf' extension.
BUT, when someone sends me an email attachment with a '.pdf' file, it
insists on trying to use "/usr/local/bin/acroread", and complains it
cannot find it. Why is that, given that Preferences was set otherwise?
And where did it get that "default" setting from? I have grepped through
all my configuration files, and looked at 'strings' for the Opera binary,
and I can find no mention of /usr/local/bin/acroread anywhere. The opera
startup script seems to be setting ACROBATBINDIR correctly.
And do others see a problem with the acroread plugin? It gets as far as
creating a black window, and then hangs.
