Setting document window to always revert to "list view"

Hi,

In Opera 10.53 - is there a way to make the largest window revert to "list
view" whenever one clciks on an item in the mail panel, such as "inbox" or
"unread messages"?

I'm finding that the large window keeps defaulting to message-view only (no
message list visible). To change it, I keep having to find the menu-item:
view>display>list-only. It's annoying! Is there a quicker way (i.e., with
one mouse-click)?

I tried to find a way of adding a "list-only" button to the toolbar, but
couldn't see a way of doing that, as Opera doesn't seem to offer a way of
customising its toolbar..
