Backing Up the Standalone Opera Mail Client

I used to use Opera (12.16 on Win32 XP Pro SP3) for almost all mail/news
and browsing. However, I have nearly abandoned Opera as a browser.
Nevertheless, I am too deeply "invested" so to speak in Opera as a mail
client to try to migrate to another system. Consequently, I have installed
and am using the (relatively new) standalone mail/news client.

I used to back up everything on a regular basis. I would use "Stu's Opera
Settings Import & Export" tool (OSIE) to backup the settings and then 7zip
to zip up and copy off two large directories of Opera, including the
mail/news store, which is very important to me. (After creating the three
archive files, I would copy them off to external media for safekeeping.)

Unfortunately, I am having some trouble backing up the standalone mail
client. Zipping up some of the critical directories is no problem, but I
am not sure how best to back up the settings with something like OSIE (or
comparable, if there is anything else), if that is still possible. What
about registry entries? Any recommendations or suggestions for backing up
the standalone Opera Mail client will be gratefully received.

Thanks.
