I have a Macbook Pro using Mac OS 10.4.11 (Tiger) with Opera 10.63. I
cannot access Java applets at all. What would cause that? Is there any
special trick to getting Java to load? I checked the setting in
Preferences Editor > Java, and it is marked as enabled. If I list the
plugins with opera:plugins, there are several plugins listed, but they
do not do anything.

I'm also on Mac OS X 10.4.11 and while Opera 10.10 displays
the applet on for example
<http://java.sun.com/applets/jdk/1.4/demo/applets/Clock/example1.html>
fine, Opera 10.63 indeed doesn't. Both versions have the
same Java Plug-in info in the about:plugins page…
