Mouse gesture triggers a popup menu instead the gesture action

In Speed Dial page or in Mail Page,
whenever i perform a mouse gesture, a popup menu appears (just like i
pressed the right mouse button only); i press Esc and only then the
gesture works.
Problem started only with 10.53 (never intalled 10.52)
