I tried using a different window manager (mwm) today instead of KDE. I
disabled KDE and the only window manager I am running is Mwm. When I
started Opera, I discovered that I can't resize any of the windows, nor
move them without using the pager feature of Mwm. The titlebar menu has
all of the options except raise and lower grayed out. Is there some way to
fix this?
Opera 10.10 Beta 4694 Linux x86_64.

Do you mean the ancient http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motif_Window_Manager
or has someone reused the name?
For what it's worth, I run an "odd" window manager (ctwm,
based on the ancient twm) and it works fine with Opera,
so Opera does not break on old window managers in general.

Ancient? :-) Actually, the one that caused problems was Mwm from Lesstif,
which I didn't realize I was using. After getting rid of LessTif and
installing IST's 2.1.32 OpenMotif, things worked much better.
Yeah, well, Motif is (to me) the Windows 3.1 of Unix GUIs. And twm was
the one everybody used when I first saw X11, in 1992 or so.

I guess that increases the chance that the bug is in the Lesstif
window manager.

It is almost certainly a problem with Lesstif, so I am not worried at all.
