10.10 Build 4742 opening a pdf link

Hi,

I have a link like

https://somewhere.com/somescript.do?documentID=000027EB000000000000000004324A01

When I click I get a download dialogue with acroread preselected, but that
goes dead for very many seconds before popping up an error about the URL. If
in the dialogue instead I choose Adobe Reader, it works fine. But the
remember choice checkbox is greyed out, so next time I fall into the same
trap. :-)

Btw. I don't know why the plugin (which is also in the drop down box) is not
the automatic choice, but I'm actually quite glad to have an external app,
which is more flexible.
